- The society gets drinking water from the Water Board (HMWSSB)
- Other sources of water are borewells and water tankers
- There is an STP plant in the society that recycles water. Recycled water is used for toilet flush and watering the garden plants
- The left tap in the Kitchen sink along supplies HMWSSB water. All other taps provide water from borewells or tankers
- Billing for water is not part of maintenance and a monthly bill is generated.
- Bill generation follows this logic:
- (Total amount of water entering STP)/(number of active households) * 13
- Amount of water is measured in Kilo Liters (KL) = 1000 liters
- Each KL of water is charged at Rs. 13/-. This is close to what the Water Board charges.
- Tariff card by water board can be found here:
- Services -> Information Services -> Tariff link
- The society does not have a sewerage out line so all used water needs to get treated by the STP
