Water

  1. The society gets drinking water from the Water Board (HMWSSB)
  2. Other sources of water are borewells and water tankers
  3. There is an STP plant in the society that recycles water. Recycled water is used for toilet flush and watering the garden plants
  4. The left tap in the Kitchen sink along supplies HMWSSB water. All other taps provide water from borewells or tankers
  5. Billing for water is not part of maintenance and a monthly bill is generated.
  6. Bill generation follows this logic:
    1. (Total amount of water entering STP)/(number of active households) * 13
    2. Amount of water is measured in Kilo Liters (KL) = 1000 liters
    3. Each KL of water is charged at Rs. 13/-. This is close to what the Water Board charges.
    4. Tariff card by water board can be found here:
      1. https://www.hyderabadwater.gov.in/en/
      2. Services -> Information Services -> Tariff link
  7. The society does not have a sewerage out line so all used water needs to get treated by the STP
